The
Korean government provides the ‘Culture Nuri Card’ (100,000 won per year),
which had previously been provided to some of the recipients of the Basic
Livelihood Recipient and the lower-income class, on a first-come, first-served basis
to both the Basic Livelihood Beneficiary and the lower class. The Culture Nuri
Card is a card that can only be used by multicultural families or low-income
Koreans.
The
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to support the Culture Nuri
Card to both the basic livelihood recipients and the lower class from this
year, and to improve user convenience by providing local customized services
and upgrading mobile applications (apps).
The
Munhwa Nuri Card can be used at more than 24,000 affiliated stores in the
culture, arts, travel, and sports fields nationwide. You can enjoy a 2,500 won
discount for watching movies, 10% discount for purchasing books, 40% discount
for watching sports, and discounted rail travel. It also provides various
benefits such as the purchase of the 'Korail Culture Nuri Card Rail Pass'.
Up
to 4 tickets (free or discounted) donated by cultural and artistic
organizations can be used per person (up to 3 times a month). You can check the
details of ‘Culture Nuri Card’ by region and sector, free and discount
benefits, ‘Sharing Ticket’, and events on the Culture Nuri Card website
(www.mnuri.kr).
In
addition, if the Culture Nuri Card users last year maintain their eligibility,
the support will be automatically recharged this year without a separate
application. Existing Culture Nuri Card users can check whether they are
subject to ‘automatic recharge’ in the ‘2022 Culture Nuri Card automatic
recharge guide’ of the notice on the Culture Nuri Card website.
If
you are not eligible for automatic recharge or need to issue a new Culture Nuri
Card, you can receive it from February 3 through November 30 through the
Culture Nuri Card website, community centers and mobile applications across the
country, and the period of use is until December 31 of this year.
