Foreign residents who order food delivery using Gyeonggi Province's public delivery app, Baedal Teukgeup, can receive an immediate discount of 5,000 won on orders over 20,000 won.

Gyeonggi Province's public delivery app, Baedal Teukgeup, announced that it will change its coupon issuance policy starting in October in line with the Korean government's "Public Delivery Activation" plan.

Many foreigners are familiar with Korean food delivery apps like Baedal Minjok and Yogiyo, but Baedal Teukgeup, created in Gyeonggi Province, is even better.

Other food delivery apps charge high commissions to restaurants, making them difficult to find. However, Baedal Teukgeup, a public delivery app, charges very low commissions, making it popular with restaurants. However, its limited user base is a drawback.

Gyeonggi Province Company announced that, starting October 1st, it will change the public delivery coupon issuance conditions to immediately issue a 5,000 won discount coupon for orders exceeding 20,000 won (one coupon per person per day). Previously, discount coupons were issued for two monthly orders of 20,000 won per person.

Since June 10th, the Korean government has been promoting a consumer coupon program to promote public delivery apps to ease the burden on restaurant management and benefit consumers. This relaxation of standards is being implemented to further promote public delivery.
