Gangwon-do and the Gangwon-do Tourism Foundation held
a Gangwon-do Familiarity Tour for three days from October 17th to 19th for the
Korea.net honorary correspondents of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism.
This Fam Tour is part of an overseas marketing project
linked to Yangyang International Airport in Gangwon-do, with the goal of
attracting foreign tourists immediately when Fly Gangwon (low-cost airline)
resumes operations on overseas routes in the era of with corona.
To this end, it invited the honorary reporters, which
are foreign supporters operated by the Overseas Culture and Promotion Agency,
to intensively promote Gangwon-do Hallyu and wellness tourist destinations to
potential overseas tourists.
During the Fam Tour, the reporters who were selected
as 10 foreigners who have completed the second dose of the Corona vaccine will
visit Yangyang surfi Beach near Yangyang International Airport, Jumunjin BTS
Bus Stop, a major Hallyu tourist destination, and the album of BTS's global hit
song 'butter'. They visited representative tourist destinations in Yeongdong,
Gangwon-do, such as Samcheok Maengbang Beach, which became famous as a shooting
location for jackets.
They contributed to promoting Gangwon tourism by
posting about 30 posts about this experience on individual SNS accounts.
In the future, Gangwon-do and Gangwon-do Tourism
Foundation will continue to promote online promotions to overseas 2030
generations to preemptively respond to the influx of foreign tourists to
Gangwon-do and promote the excellence of travel using Yangyang International
Airport.
