The Gangwon-do Athletic Association held a new sports class for all 46 students of Haemil School, a multicultural youth school, on November 4.

This class is the '2021 Tobagi Sports Care Support Project' hosted by the Korea Sports Association and sponsored by the National Sports Promotion Agency.

The purpose of this project is to strengthen bonds between youth through sports and to cultivate social adaptability by providing various sports activities for children and adolescents from multicultural families, and to provide opportunities to participate in sports through sports experience programs.

As for the training events, drones and flying discs, which are of high interest to young people, were conducted, and high-quality lectures were conducted using professional instructors from the Gangwon-do Drone Association and the Gangwon-do Flying Disc Federation.

Ahn Man-jo, the principal of Haemil School, said, “After opening in 2018, we received a lot of support and interest from people around us, but the support and interest was cut off due to the Corona pandemic. Thank you for the unexpected opportunity to experience news sports."
