Daejeon City announced that it will
conduct a survey on the ‘Integrated Support Center for Foreign Residents’
targeting foreign residents living in Daejeon in the first year of the opening
of the ‘Integrated Support Center for Foreign Residents’.
This survey will be conducted online until
November 14 on the website of the Integrated Support Center for Foreign
Residents in Daejeon.
A survey will be conducted on the status
of use and satisfaction of the ‘Integrated Support Center for Foreign
Residents,’ projects and educational programs of interest, and the results of
the survey will be reflected in Daejeon City’s policies for foreign residents.
Participation in the survey will be
awarded through lottery with tickets to performances, movie tickets, smart
watches, and backpacks for hiking at the Daejeon Arts Center in connection with
the Ministry of Public Administration and Security's cultural and sports
activity support project for foreign residents.
“The
Integrated Support Center for Foreign Residents has been promoting various
support projects for foreign residents since its opening this year,” said Kang
Min-gu, director of international cooperation in Daejeon. "With this
survey, we will pay more attention to the valuable opinions of foreign
residents to help them settle down stably and live in harmony with
citizens," he said.
Meanwhile, since its opening in February, the Daejeon Metropolitan City Integrated Support Center has been promoting various projects to strengthen employment capabilities such as job consulting and free driver's license education, as well as adapt to the local community. As of 2019, about 34,000 foreign residents live in Daejeon.
