In Korea, large-scale shopping events begin in November, both online and offline. November, known as the off-season for shopping, is marked by major discount events around the world, including Korea Sale Festa, Singles' Day in China, and Black Friday in the United States.
‘Korea Sale Festa’, which runs from November 11th to 30th, will issue discount coupons of up to 70% at various distribution outlets such as large supermarkets, department stores, convenience stores, supermarkets, and online shopping malls.
During this period, large supermarkets are holding special discount events on fresh and processed foods, daily necessities, and popular toys such as Lego.
Department stores are planning giveaways focusing on fashion and beauty, such as gift certificates and affiliate card benefits.
The home appliance industry plans to provide point benefits for purchasing multiple items and hold a generous giveaway event, while the automobile industry is preparing large-scale discounts such as up to 17% discount for each vehicle type. 2,400 companies in the distribution, manufacturing, and service sectors are scheduled to participate, and each local government is also encouraged to link local festivals and regional specialty product discount events held adjacent to Kosepe with Kosepe.
Let’s take a closer look at discount events offered by offline distribution companies. Shinsegae is holding ‘Seok Day’ from November 13th to 19th. Twenty Shinsegae Group affiliates, including E-Mart and G Market, are participating.
In particular, E-Mart offers up to 50% discount on foods such as pork belly and presents a special home appliance package specially designed for ‘Seok Day’, planned in collaboration with Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
G Market and Auction have prepared benefits such as discounts of up to 150,000 won and 20% discount coupons. Shinsegae Department Store holds a reward draw for up to 50% of the amount spent, and Shinsegae International holds a payback event for up to 50% of premium brands.
I think it would be a good idea for foreign residents, including multicultural families, who plan to purchase not only daily necessities but also items that cost a large sum of money, such as cars and home appliances, to use this Korea Sale Festa period~^^
