To this end, we plan to expand the energy cashback system to the general public, including multicultural families, from July. With this system, if electricity consumption is reduced by 10% compared to the same month last year, electricity rates can be paid at the same level as before the May increase.
It means that even though electricity rates have risen, households that use less electricity can pay at the level before the rise.
In particular, from the second half of the year, you can receive up to 100 won/kWh in cash, depending on the amount of energy saved.
Of course, reducing your electricity use by 10% from last year in hot weather won't be easy, but if you and your family plan and work hard, you can avoid the electricity bill bomb.
Energy Cash Back can be applied for through the Energy Marketplace (https://en-ter.co.kr) from June 7th. Instead of being refunded in six-month increments, the monthly electricity bill can be deducted or paid in cash.
We decided to provide information such as being able to check the electricity usage and rate level in real time and notifying the expected rate for the next month in advance.
For the underprivileged, we decided to expand the target of energy voucher support by more than 30%. The support unit price is also expected to increase from 40,000 won last year to 43,000 won this year so you can apply at the Eupmyeondong Administrative Welfare Center.
