The
Gyeyang-gu Childcare Support Center in Incheon City promoted the multilingual
joint translation project of the childcare center together with the 6 districts
(Gyeyang, Namdong, Michuhol, Bupyeong, Seo-gu, Yeonsu).
The
multicultural joint translation project of the daycare guide was carried out
for parents of multicultural families with infants and toddlers to increase
access to information on daycare use and to ‘realize a happy childrearing that
raises and smiles together’.
The
daycare guide is available in four languages: English, Chinese, Russian and
Vietnamese, and can be downloaded and used at any time from the center website,
which will be renovated from March.
An
official from the Gyeyang-gu Childcare Support Center said, “We plan to
continue the multilingual translation project in consideration of the countries
of various origins of multicultural families living in Gyeyang-gu.”
Meanwhile,
the Gyeyang-gu Comprehensive Childcare Support Center provides comprehensive
childcare services such as information on childcare and childrearing, daycare
center support, and parent counseling, and is performing a professional role as
a childrearing support base in the local community.
