The 'Foreign Workers Support Project' program of the Chungju City Labor-Management Civil -Politics Council is receiving positive reviews from foreign workers.
The main projects are △ 'Healing Horticultural Psychological Consultation' to support mental and physical stability using horticulture (plants, flowers, etc.) △ 'Visiting Warm Table filled with Birthday Foods ' to support ties between foreigners and Korean workers at workplaces employing foreigners △ To be held at a cultural heritage night tour in September 'Traditional martial arts Taekkyeon experience' △ Traditional pottery making experience △ 'Cultural performance K-POP concert' with local artists.
Particularly, the ‘Visiting Warm Table filled with Birthday Foods’ program presented a Korean-style birthday table to a foreign worker on their birthday so that they could receive congratulations from their co-workers and experience Korea’s unique “jeong”. Especially, foreign workers working in Korea, which is far from their home countries could forget their loneliness for a while and enjoy.
‘History and Culture Golden Bell’ is a program that allows you to experience the history and culture of Chungju on a cruise ship on Lake Chungju, and explore the cultural heritage of the region, such as the Chungju Museum, Jungang Tower Park, and Goguryeo Monument.
In addition, with the help of Jungwondang, located in Jungang Tower Park -myeon, an opportunity is provided for ‘pottery making experience’. In the future, we plan to promote more diverse programs such as ‘Healing Horticultural Psychological Counseling’.
‘Healing Horticultural Psychological Counseling’ plans to recruit participants around July.
The Chungju City Labor-Management Civil-Politics Council expects that the 'Foreign Workers Support Project' will improve the quality of life of foreign workers and provide a good opportunity to make Chungju a hometown of their hearts.
The ‘Foreign Workers Support Project’ is supervised by the Chungju City Labor-Management Civil-Politics Council and supported by Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungju-si.
